Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Collection Agent to join our team. The Collection Agent will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, revenue cycle management, and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Contact delinquent accounts to collect past due amounts from collection queues that include all aging categories.
- Document customer accounts to ensure that all steps are taken to resolve any outstanding balances.
-Liaise with internal departments to address customer billing concerns and resolve payment issues.
-Follow company policies, procedures and collection laws while maintaining a high level productivity
- Updating account information and maintaining accurate records
- Resolving billing discrepancies and disputes
- Utilizing phone etiquette to communicate effectively with customers
- Collaborating with internal teams to address customer inquiries and concerns
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in collections, accounts receivable, or related field
- Familiarity with financial concepts and revenue cycle management
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet collection targets
- Experience in telemarketing or customer service is beneficial
